Ed Begley, Jr.

Begley, Jr. was born in Los Angeles, California, the son of Allene Jeanne Sanders and Ed Begley, both actors (although at the time, Ed Begley was married to Amanda Huff). He grew up on Merrick, Long Island, New York where he attended Stella Niagara Education Park Cadet school in Lewiston, New York. In 1962 the family moved back to California where he graduated from Van Nuys High School, Van Nuys, California and Los Angeles Valley College in North Hollywood, California.

He married his first wife Ingrid Taylor, on October 31, 1976 and together had daughter, Amanda Begley born on October 3, 1977 and a son, Nicholas Taylor Begley born on January 4, 1979. Ed and Ingrid divorced in October 1989. He then married Rachelle Carson on August 23, 2000 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they had a daughter Hayden Carson born in 1999.

Mortensen was born in New York City, New York. His American mother, Grace Gamble (née Atkinson), and Danish father, Viggo Peter Mortensen, Sr. (a farm manager who worked in business), met in Norway. His maternal grandfather was from Canada. His family moved to Venezuela, Argentina and Denmark, settling in Argentina, where he learned Spanish. His father managed chicken farms and ranches in Argentina. They remained there until Mortensen was age eleven, when his parents divorced and his mother moved back to New York.
